Upcoming shows

Sorry for the lack of updates of late – real life etc! Following on from an incredible gig at Nottingham in March with the mighty Blasphemer, Beyond Grace and Dreor (cheers for putting this on Phil Core!) we have 2 major shows lined up next month, one in London and one in Bolton and both times we are number 2 on the bill, for which we are extremely grateful. Both are major festivals that we are humbled to have been invited to. See the flyers below and click for more info! Hope to see some of you guys there – pop over and say ‘Hey!’ 🙂

New band member

We’re very pleased to be able announce that our new bass player is none other than Rik Simpson (Bloodmores, ex Austerymn, ex Monstrance ).

Rich Mumford: “I first met Rik through working with him on Carlo Regadas’ Monstrance project. I also helped his previous band, Austerymn out a couple of times on bass back in 2018 and 2019.

When Mark Fox decided to leave the band, there was only one person on my list to take the bass player spot. Rik is an excellent bass player and also a guitarist, vocalist, producer, engineer and luthier. It’s an absolute dream to be working with him again and he’s brought a whole new dimension to the sound of the band.”

Rik Simpson: “I’m extremely honoured to have been asked by Malediction to join as their bassist.

As a fan of the band since the early 90’s this is a great opportunity for me to play with an outstanding group of musicians…and top blokes too!!

I look forward working with the guys and continuing to develop as a player to ensure their legacy is preserved and the future of such a legendary band remains a bright one.”
